|Maybelline Baby Lips CANDY WOW in Cherry | Review and Swatch|
Nowadays I have started expecting a new range of Baby Lips every season from Maybelline. And from the pattern I see, they DO come up with a new variant/range of baby lips every season and they didn’t break the pattern this season as well!
A new Range called “Candy Wow” has been launched in India, a couple of weeks back. This range was launched around June-July outside of India and it came to India a couple of weeks back! Before this, they had launched the Spiced Up range (Full details here).
Let me tell you more about the Candy Wow range. This range has 5 flavors like orange, mixed fruit, etc. I am going to review “Cherry” today from the candy wow range.
This is definitely the best packaging so far. The lip balm comes in a crayon stick / chubby stick packaging. You have to twist the lower part to take out the lip balm. This lip balm is not flat at the top, like the others and hence feels like I am applying lipstick when I use this!
This is quite decently pigmented. Pretty good considering this is a lip balm and not a lipstick. This won’t cover highly pigmented lips but does a good job for slight pigmentation.
This is an orange –y red color, which does not contain shimmers. The tint looks really pretty on lips!
I had mentioned earlier here, that the fragrances are very strong to my liking. But since I am using this for some time now and I can say that the fragrances are lighter than the spiced up range. Plus all of the fragrances are fruity and actually candy like.
Cherry smells like strawberry jelly candies to me. Do let me know your perspective in terms of this in the comments below, if you have tried this.
Longevity and Texture –
I feel that this lip balm is extremely smooth and glides on my lips and I love the texture of the Lip Balm!
Price – 275 INR for 2g. (OUCCHH!)
This is the part which concerns me the most, 2 grams of product for 275 rupees is pricey! I think it is because of the packaging that they have priced it this way but, in case of other baby lips you get 4 grams of the product for almost half the price!
Also, it does not come with SPF in it, I am not really bothered with this but those of you who like having SPF on lips would mind the absence of it!
I would recommend this if you would like to have a nice smelling and pretty looking lip balm or even if you like to collect these, but otherwise I think it is a little pricey and you can stick to the other baby lips as well.
Have you tried this yet ?? Let me know in the comments below ??
Loads of love ,
