The Face Shop foaming face wash I am talking about is from
their Rice Water Bright Range and their rice water range focuses on brightening
and hydrating the skin at the same time. The two products in this range are the
set I mentioned earlier, The Face Wash and the Cleansing Oil. Let me share my
thoughts and what I think of the Face Shop foaming face wash.
Price – The face wash is available in three sizes. 50ml for
349 INR, 100ml for 590 INR and 150ml for 849 INR.
Product – The face wash comes in tube packaging with a
flip cap. No box packaging for the face wash. The product is a bit creamy but lathers very well with some water. There is almost no fragrance, but a very mild soothing note of fragrance.
My experience –
The Face Shop foaming face wash from the Face Shop rice
water bright range is quite true to its name. It is a proper foaming face wash,
when I say proper, I mean this face wash lathers exceptionally well. But it is one of the cons when used by itself.
The Rice Water Bright face wash is paired with the Face Shop Rice Water Bright cleansing oil with good reason and my recommendation will be
to use it after a cleansing oil, otherwise this face wash strips off the natural
oils from my face and makes my skin feel dry. In Bangalore, the weather is
usually pretty dry and this tends to cause more issues.
But if you have accumulated a lot of sweat after some
activity or intense workout, this can help with making your skin feel
refreshed, but I would recommend this only in very extreme cases,
because honestly, as you maybe can tell, I am not a fan.
This works very well when I need something stripping, but more often than not it turns out not to work in my favour. I have not noticed any long-term benefits with this as well. In the short term, it does leave my skin looking brighter, but that is because it strips off everything very well.
I recommend skipping The Face Shop Rice water bright foaming face wash if you want a standalone
face wash and have dry or combination skin.
