One thing Centella Asiatica Extract Toner Review | CICA

Toners have become my favorite skincare product in 2023 and I tried many of those from various brands last year. The one that stood out the most for me, is from the Korean brand One Thing. One thing focuses on championing one ingredient and gives the complete potency of the ingredients packed in their products. Today I am talking about the One Thing Centella Asiatica extract by One Thing. The CICA toner has become my singular favorite toner out of all the ones I have tried because this provides what my skin needs the most, beautiful calm for my irritated skin.

With my sinus bouts and constant sneezing and managing the sneezes, I end up with very irritated skin, especially in the middle of my face around the nose and under my eyes, which usually takes a whole lot of time and effort to manage with calming products to soothe. The One Thing Centaella Aisatica Extract or CICA extract has been great for me to layer, once or multiple times with other products or on its own, which has helped my sensitive, irritated skin after such bouts as mentioned.

Product details

This Made in Korea product has 95% of Centella Extract which gives it the soothing properties that my sensitive and acne-prone skin needs. The One Thing Centella asiatica extract is a vegan product and is paraben-free, color-free, and fragrance-free.

The toner feels like water and smells very earthy and herby which is the natural fragrance of the herb used for the Centella extract. I use it directly on my skin and pat it into the skin like men do with after-shave.

Now Centella Asiatica is known as Gotu Kola and more popularly known by that name by us Indians, and this plant has anti-inflammatory properties which provide this extract the anti-inflammatory traits that help with visible soothing and reduction of redness

As mentioned earlier, this has a water-like texture and can be used very easily. and since this is an extract this can be used in many ways, as a toner, as a mist spray in a spray bottle, as a base for a face back, mix it with your creams and so on. There are many ways to use this!

Packaging

The One Thing Cica Extract toner comes in a clear plastic bottle with a small dispenser. The bottle itself is very minimal, aligning with the brand image even the outer box packaging reflects the brand story excellently. The Cica toner comes secured in box packaging.

Personal experience

As mentioned earlier, I LOVE THIS!
I can use the One Thing toner for the Korean 7-layer skin method to layer this toner 7 times before moving on to my next step. Sometimes I leave my skincare routine at just that and wake up with refreshed and healed skin devoid of any redness and scratchy feeling! I am on my second bottle and that is saying something considering I use my skincare products like a Scrooge.

I can layer the One Thing Centella Asiatica extract toner under any of my serums or moisturizers, I can build it up multiple times and the toner gets beautifully absorbed into my skin. I like using this as a mist to freshen myself up in the middle of a work day or when I have had a long sneeze bout. It helps me with the endless number of things and that too very quickly. An absolute favorite for me!
