If you follow me on instagram, ( do you follow me ?? No?? then follow me nooww!! :P ) then you must have seen a few days back I received a few make products from Oriflame from their new launch , "The One" range. I received a foundation, concealer, mascara and eyeliner.
Since I have never reviewed a foundation here on my blog I thought of starting with reviewing the foundation, followed by the concealer and then the mascara and the eye liner.
This new product from Oriflame claims to have illuminating particles, which will lend a natural glow to your skin.
Let’s see what it actually does.
Packaging: - it comes in a cardboard box, the foundation comes in a cylinder glass bottle with a pump. I like this type of packaging; you can dispense the amount you need because of the pump tube. The pump is also covered with a transparent cap.
Color: - The color is natural beige and I think it is perfect for complexions till NC40 , sad that they do not have a wide range of color in this. Natural beige is perfect for people with warm undertones (check the veins on your wrist, mostly blue means you have cool undertones ; green means warm undertones ), the foundation has a little bit of yellow undertones.
Product: - the consistency of the foundation is pretty good, it is neither runny nor thick, it has a good texture that allows you to work with it easily and spread nice and even. The coverage is pretty good and hides minor flaws and spots.
It doesn’t set instantly so you have some time to work with it.
The amount needed quite less I used just two pumps full of foundation for myself here. It also has spf 20, though I would advice always wearing a sunscreen under your make up, of more than spf 35, in India.
I like it pretty much, it has a good consistency, nice coverage and also stays for quite long ( 5+ hours), without looking cakey. It has no bad fragrance has a very light fresh floral fragrance which fades off after sometime, and since I have a sensitive nose I can say that this was really a mild fragrance ( or I would have been saying “I haate it” all the time :P ), the only problem I faced is that the foundation gets a bit chalky or ashy around the mouth and I do not like that!
Price: - 799 INR
Quantity: - 30 ml
Rating: - 3.75/5
I would recommend this because of the light dewy look it gives and ease of working with this.
Have you tried this? Which is your favorite foundation??
