Experience at Polished - The Boutique Nail Studio, Indiranagar

No matter what I do, what I write about here on the blog, I can never divert my focus from nails. I even look at my nails and not the keyboard when I type! How do I divert my mind from that? So when I discovered this place, called Polished- The Boutique Nail Studio, right near Smoke House Deli, Indiranagar, Bangalore, I knew I had to visit and see for myself how this place is!
I was recently invited by Polished to try out their services and share my views. And here is how my experience was –

From the moment I entered I fell in love with the place! Racks and racks of beautiful polishes arranged color wise, glitter wise and brand wise. The decor of the place is very plush as well, with a touch of vintage luxe. They have a number of services from extensions and the basic manicure and pedicure to detailed nail arts and nail repairs.  I went in for an express pedicure and a nail art which is all the rage at the moment, the mirror nails/the chrome nails.

I was attended by two technicians at the same time, for my nails and the pedicure. Both of them were very nice and friendly and I think it is very important!

Let’s begin with the pedicure.

I think it was a wonderful experience with the pedicure. The products they use are all from reputed brands like Sally Hansen and Essie. After removing the dead skin from heals, I was given a relaxing foot massage. I would prefer getting things done one by one here. So the next time I visit, I will get the pedicure separately done. After the massage, I chose two colors to be applied on my toes, both from Essie. A shiny blue and a holographic glitter. The polish was applied perfectly as well!

Now coming down to the nails. I had already made up my mind for the mirror nails and this was the first thing I asked for. I was very happy when they said it can be done! Mirror nails have to be done with gel polishes, otherwise the chrome powder moves around with normal polish {I will give this a try soon with normal polish anyway!}.

I already had glitter polish on and it had to be removed. I only wish they had left the remover to soak for some time, before going all out with tools to remove the glitters. I was a bit scared that it would damage my nail bed {I am very sensitive about my nail bed.}. After this, the base coat was applied and then two coats of black gel polish from Essie. They have bio sculpture as well. The Essie gel polish lasts about 2 weeks.

The chrome powder is applied twice with a top coat to seal the layer off and finished with a gel top coat.

The outcome was definitely great! After having these mirror nails on for almost two weeks, I went for the soak off.

Mirror Nails after two weeks
I was afraid how the removal of the polish was going to be, but it wasn’t bad. My nail beds survived comfortably. Although I have a little bit of base coat on my nails till now, I can buff that slightly and it’ll go away. The soak off was quick and smoothly done.

I was happy to see my nails as good as usual :D.

I would definitely recommend you to visit this salon if you are looking to get glam nails done or for a regular manicure, because they are pretty great!

I know I will go back to get my nails done at Polished!

Hope you are going to get glam nails done for the New Year's Eve!!

Loads of love,
Priyanjana
