Pink is the color of October and I am starting this week
with a pink lip color. Next is something directly related to this month (stay
tuned for that guys ! ). Let me tell you
more about today’s lip color.
The Long lasting XXXL lip gloss (MATT) from Essence
cosmetics in the shade Velvet Rose. Let’s directly jump onto the review today.
Packaging –
I like the nice sleek and simple packaging.
Applicator –
The applicator is very easy to use. This applicator is love!
I mean all lip glosses must have an applicator like this one! The formula
of the lip cream is also very creamy hence the ease in application.

Shade –
This is a very subtle pink with coral hints. No
shimmer. This color washes out on me and
my skin tone is NC40 – 41 in MAC. I do
not like the shade on myself , honestly.
The shade is quite pigmented because I am wearing two coats
of the lip gloss and it’s completely opaque.
Finish and longevity

It has a semi matte finish, although it says that it is a
matte lip “gloss”, quite an oxymoron if I must say.
The longevity is reeeeaallly good. It takes some time to
settle down and is a bit sticky for a while. But it settles down and stays.
Like for at least 4-5 without budging.
My experience-
Personally not my favourite shade, because I look really
weird if I wear this. But the color is really pretty and would look great on
those who can pull it off. It sits
comfortably on my lips and does not dry out. But, I always wear lip balm under
this.
The fragrance reminds me of cakes! Now what can be better
than THAT !
All in all, I like the formula, but I would try some other
shade next time. Since, it is so pocket friendly I would have loved if they had
a lot of shades. But they have just one more shade, A pretty red.
Price – 279 INR for 4.5ml(which is quite reasonable)

I am giving this a 7.5. I would recommend you to try this once in a shade of your choice.
