Private India by Ashwin Sanghi and James Patterson | Book review

This is basically a book filled with mystery and thrill, as they claim. But, Somehow to me it seemed very bland.
The story starts with the murder of a foreigner in a hotel room, which seems like a normal single murder.

And the investigation is not given to the police, instead the hotel chain’s own detective agency. Enter “Private India”. Situated in Mumbai , the headquarter of the Indian “Private” consists of best of the tech geek, detectives and medical examiner.  Head of which is Santosh Wagh , a former RAW agent.

And the team also comprises of Nisha, a beauty but dangerous and she is closest to Santosh. They start investigating the first murder of a foreigner and within few hours of the first murder another murder takes place and before they can realize a series of murder start taking place in random places of the city!
And each and every murder had a few props with the body.
But what I could not understand was , how the time line suddenly shifted to a the navrati!
There is a big twist at the end of the book which is kind of weird ( I think) and very Bollywood- y , so if you are a person who predicts these plots before hand , then you just might even get a nice and big hint of the twist.

They start investigating the first murder and within few hours of the first murder another murder takes place and before they can realize a series of murder starts!
I know for any mystery book it is important to make the base plot first but in a book of 450 pages, I got interested after 350th page and that is something I do not like!
On the 200th page I was like what am I reading, on the 300th page I even thought of stopping!
You will find a lot of unnecessary snippets of the characters’ live in the book. I do not like when I am reading about something and then when I turn the page the continuum is lost and I jump off to someone else’s life! This is okay if that happens after a few pages, here every page has a different story, a different snippet. The story feels kind of broken apart into various pieces and is hastily summed up in the end!

The story revolves around the murders and a bit of corruption in the city of Mumbai.
To be honest overall I didn’t quite enjoy reading the book. I had a lot of expectations.

But ,I would ask you to read it because the story is good. I did not like the style of writing. If you already like the writing of these two authors, then you will enjoy the book!
